After an initial report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that multiple Browns’ receivers were deemed “high-risk-close-contact”, we now have names.
Star wideout Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, and Donovan People-Jones, who are now expected to miss Sunday’s matchup with the New York Jets. Brutal to lose three contributors just a game back of first place.
Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan People-Jones have been deemed High-Risk-Close-Contacts, per @mortreport and me. Browns awaiting further instruction but all three now could be out Sunday vs. Jets. https://t.co/TyMsq3IPhV

Cleveland is expected to be placed on the Reserve/COVID list, so the players listed wouldn’t be eligible to play this weekend. Browns’s quarterback Baker Mayfield has done a great job leading this team post-OBJ, so he’s being asked to do much of the same here.
These players, and more, are expected to be placed on Reserve/COVID list, which would make them ineligible to play Sunday vs. Jets. https://t.co/LQ8XxPESCI

Unfortunately for the Browns, they’re already without their OBJ, so Baker is really working with scraps this weekend. But still, it’s the Jets and Mayfield should, on paper, be able to lead them to a win regardless of who’s running routes.
Guess the Rams thought the same thing until they walked back to the locker room with that ‘L’.
Update:
Browns’ wideout Marvin Hall stands alone as the only receiver on the Browns initial 53-man roster that is expected to play Sunday, according to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Marvin Hall on is the only receiver on the #Browns 53-man roster not ruled out for Sunday’s game against the #Jets, per source. The rest must sit out because of high risk close contact. They’re elevating Derrick Willies and Ja’Marcus Bradley from the practice squad.

Don’t expect Derrick Willies and Ja’Marcus Bradley to be heros, but maybe they’re enough against a pitiful Jets roster? We’ll keep our eyes peeled.
