Jared Goff's Girlfriend Christen Harper Is About To Turn Into A Massive Superstar

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit world has been incredibly stale and boring over what feels like the last 3-4 years, at least, as the company started its journey into including every single different body form it could find to appease every special interest group out there. Now, if SI plays its cards right, it has an absolute superstar on its hands in the form of Christen Harper, the girlfriend of Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who just completed work for the SI brand during Miami's Bikini Week.

Harper, who had been dabbling in modeling before the SI gig, but had never found a breakout situation, appears on a trajectory that will turn her into one of the faces of the magazine's bikini division for the next few years - at least. “Magical” is how she described her trip to Miami with the brand.

“LAST NIGHT WAS A DREAM. I walked for @si_swimsuit!!!! I can’t even begin to describe how much last night meant to me,” Harper said on IG. “Walking along side my @si_swimsearch and @si_swimsuit sisters was more than an honor. This is truly the most inspiring, uplifting group of women and I feel so lucky to be a part of something so insanely magical. Thank you to the entire @si_swimsuit team I love you ENDLESSLY.”

She wasn't done thinking about how great this SI thing is going for her. Christen's worked so hard for this moment.

“This has been a dream my entire life,” Harper wrote last week. “SI is the reason I became a model and for years I tried to get a casting with them but never quite made it. Instead of just accepting that and moving on I decided to take things into my own hands and chase this dream myself.”

Now, the logical move here for SI is to have Harper on all the shows promoting this year's magazine even though she won't be on the cover. DOESN'T MATTER. She's the face. Put her and Goff on The Tonight Show. Put these two on Fox Business Channel. Harper should be throwing out first pitches. She should be on E! shows talking with that Andy whatever his name is, just creating mountains of content that can be cut up and force-fed to the Internet. Woke SI needs to get back to its roots and remember that it's promoting bikinis, not social causes here.

The 2021 issue is expected to drop Monday, July 19.
