James Gandolfini Said He Was Ready To Fight Harvey Weinstein

Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli, who co-starred on The Sopranos as Bobby Baccalieri and Christopher Moltisanti respectively, appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience this week for a fascinating discussion. As a diehard fan of the show, I'd highly recommend listening to the entire episode. But, of course, there was one headline, in particular, that has the internet buzzing.

Hold on:

“ said, ‘Harvey Weinstein keeps calling, he wants me to do Letterman and I said no,'” Schirripa said. “And he got fucking nasty with Jim. And Jim said, ‘I will beat the fuck out of Harvey Weinstein! He fucking calls me again, I will beat the fuck out of him! For the money he paid me, I’m not fucking doing it!’ Swear to God. And this is before all the Harvey Weinstein shit when he was still king shit.”

Yes, the James Gandolfini who played Tony Soprano and that Harvey Weinstein.

While Tony was no Michael Corleone, he did strike fear as a fighter as much as any mob boss without his crew could. Just ask Ralph Cifaretto. Not sure what that means for Gandolfini, but I got him over Weinstein ... in under 30.

It's great having The Sopranos back in the news. Last week a leak surfaced of David Chase, the show's creator, essentially confirming Tony's fate (warning: it's here).

There's never quite been a show like it. Unlike most dramas that rank near it, it gets better upon each rewatch.
