I know a lot of Outkick readers are not enamored with the NBA’s product right now, but the Jazz-Nuggets series featured phenomenal back-and-forth sports competition, and individual excellence throughout the slate from Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell.
By the second half of Game 7, both teams were clearly running on empty and it was the type of the game where one bucket held the magnitude of several. Ultimately, Mike Conley rimmed out a three-pointer that would’ve put the Jazz over the Nuggets. Mitchell collapsed to the court in a combination of pure disappointment and exhaustion, and Murray went to console him:

Murray doesn’t exactly have a lot of time to savor the victory. He was stunned when Scott Van Pelt informed him they’d be playing Game 1 vs. the Clippers Thursday:

No rest for the weary …..
That’s my point guard right there
Say’Her’Name Mitchell? I had no idea they still were putting their names on the backs alongside the slogans! Can you say ‘crab-ass?’ LOL
Didn’t watch
Former UK player consoles former UL player. Rivals then, now and in the future, but a classy gesture by Murray.
