JA Morant Wants An Explanation From One Rookie of the Year Voter

JA Morant was, by far, the best rookie in the NBA this year. He was subsequently named Rookie of the Year. It was nearly unanimous.

That is where the problem is. At least for Morant.

One writer -- Joe Cowley of the SunTimes -- voted for Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans. It did not sit well with Morant who made light of the vote but asked him for a quick explanation on Twitter.

Cowley did not reply but did at least make some light of the situation on his Twitter account. Shortly after making it clear that the voted for LeBron and not Giannis for MVP, he RT'd another user making fun of his Morant ommission.

Morant playing in 67 games for the Grizzlies and averaged 17.8 points, 7.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting 47.7 % from the field and 33.5 % from beyond the arc.

Williamson only played in 24 games for New Orleans, but he did put up an impressive 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
