Is An SEC Coach Already Complaining About The March Madness Bubble Food?

Videos by OutKick

Uh oh, here we go with the March Madness controlled environment food complaints from NCAA head coaches. All it took was one lunch in Indianapolis. NCAA basketball reporter Matt Norlander tweeted just after lunch this afternoon that a head coach in the East Region isn’t pleased with his fish lunch. “Supposed to be fish,” the coach texted Norlander.

Some basketball observers believe it’s Nate Oats, the Alabama head coach, complaining about the fish meal because the person in the photo is wearing crimson track pants and seems to be the odds-on-favorite to be complaining here.

Meanwhile, VCU head coach Mike Rhoades checked in with Norlander to let him know he crushed his bubble meal. It’s something to keep an eye on, if it is Oats complaining about the food. Will the guy be a mental mess if his bubble lunch before the Iona game isn’t up to his standards?

By the way, that definitely looks like fish and maybe it’s just time for these guys to stop bitching and get a March Madness tournament in. Canceling the 2020 tournament cost the NCAA $800 million. Suck it up, eat the damn fish and have someone sneak some St. Elmo shrimp into your room.

  1. Who the hell decided that fish was a good choice? It looks awful to me because the only seafood I like is shrimp and I’m not alone. Give this poor coach a break unless he had a choice to begin with. If he selected fish, then it’s his bad!

  2. Unbelievable, Kinsey. Just unbelievable. FIRST, you use your “Everything zen” tweet TWICE in the Morning thing making me log in to point out your error.

And NOW, you post something that I don’t even care about, which forces me to log in AGAIN to leave a comment telling you that I don’t care about the bubble food story.

Nate Oats is a treasure and the food looks nasty and leave Nate Oats ALONE
