If you’re jonesing for some baseball and know you’re not gonna get it for at least awhile while MLB owners and players are squabbling over dollars when essentially every other sports league in America and the world is figuring it out, pray they take a cue from Field of Dreams country. Today, Iowa announced a return to play for high school baseball and softball with the following guidance:

While we still have at least a few more days of squabbles between MLB owners and the players association, hopefully this time next week we are staring down the barrel of a second Spring Training and the launch of the regular season in time for Independence Day. Anything less would be uncivilized.
