If You Watched MNF, You Witnessed History

Big Ben’s home finale 26-14 win over the Browns felt incredibly underwhelming, and after ESPN stats revealed this tidbit, we can finally understand why.

Baker Mayfield and Ben Roethlisberger combined for 308 yards on 84 attempts — good for 3.67 yards per attempt — THE LOWEST COMBINED RATE IN A GAME IN NFL HISTORY.

Remember when football fans used to claim Peyton Manning would “dink and dunk” down the field? Well, these two quarterbacks took that phrase and put it into action Monday night.

It’s mind boggling to witness the sharp decline of Baker Mayfield in Cleveland. Big Ben is on his way out, so his decline is fair after nearly two decades of success. We got 40 total points on the board, but now we get why it felt like a shut out for both sides. Monday Night Football was an offensive struggle fest.

There really wasn’t much to see in this game other than the fact that it was a send off of an illustrious career. My goodness, fellas, that was brutal and we’re just happy it ended with a ‘W’ for Pittsburgh.
