Bills and Browns closing in on home playoff games

It would be an absolute gut-punch to see the Bills and Browns win their divisions and host home games in the first round of the playoffs with no fans in Buffalo and only 12,000 or so in Cleveland -- if Governor Mike DeWine will even allow that many to attend a game in early January. I turned on the Steelers-Bills game and saw the light snow falling, and all I kept thinking was how much content Bills fans would've created at that game. I've been at the Internet game for 13 years and have seen a few big content days out of Bills fans. Last night would've been an all-timer.

If you're a Browns fan, you can't believe how things are lining up. Tonight, you get the chance to dance on Art Modell's grave, end the Ravens' season, and then pass through two cupcake games heading into what could be one of the hardest tickets to get in Browns 2.0 history -- a January 3 game against the Steelers.

The Browns haven't hosted a playoff game since January 1, 1995. The Bills haven't hosted one since December 28, 1996. It figures that the stars might align, and yet it won't be a true playoff atmosphere. F-off, COVID.

• Josh Allen was born May 21, 1996. The Bills last won the AFC East in 1995.

• The Washington Football Team has won four in a row and just might get to .500 and win the NFC East. With success like that after a name change, the Cleveland Indians -- who are now dropping "Indians" -- have no choice but to become the Cleveland Baseball Team. This is such an easy decision for Cleveland's brass.

• I'm sure OutKick will be addressing Bill Gates at some point today, but what's he doing on CNN predicting all sorts of stuff? Gates is pro-closing bars and restaurants a couple days after Cuomo released these numbers.

I don't like to get your day off to a frustrating start, but it seems weird to have such a hard-on to target bars and restaurants when the data is telling the politicians something different.
