Hulu + Live TV Adding NFL Network, RedZone

Hulu + Live TV is ready to pass, tackle, run and catch, as the streaming service announced it is adding both the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone channels to its lineup, beginning Aug. 1.

Granted, Hulu is still at odds with Sinclair Broadcast Group over the Ballys Sports regionals (formerly FOX Sports regionals) and has not carried local MLB, NBA or NHL broadcasts since the fall. Same goes for YouTube TV. But the deals with the NFL-run networks should help Hulu + Live TV overcome the losses of those other leagues.

The agreement between the NFL and Hulu were actually completed earlier this month. Hulu + Live TV already offered games carried by CBS, FOX, NBC, and ESPN.

“We are excited to bring NFL Network and NFL RedZone to Hulu + Live TV subscribers,” said Hans Schroeder, executive vice president and chief operating officer of NFL Media. “One of our top priorities as a League remains broadening the distribution platforms for NFL content, and so we’re very pleased to bring our lineup of award-winning shows and live games to Hulu’s live subscribers starting in the 2021 NFL season.”

Hulu + Live TV is available for $64.99 per month. The ad-free option costs $70.99 a month. The streaming service kicked off 2021 by adding 14 ViacomCBS networks -- BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, VH1, CMT, Nick Jr., TV Land, BET Her, MTV2, NickToons, TeenNick and MTV Classic.
