Howard Stern Calls New $120 Million Contract Report: 'Fake News'

Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that Howard Stern is close to an extension with SiriusXM for $120 million per year. On Wednesday, Stern denied the report.

As much as he hated to quote his former buddy President Donald Trump, Stern marked it as "fake news."

"I have seen no contract, I have heard nothing about this money," Stern told co-host Robin Quivers.

The good news: Stern made it very clear he'll take $120 million a year right now.

“I’m telling Sirius now, whatever I read, I want. I’ll take that, right now. I’m a bad negotiator. I’m like, ‘OK, I’ll take it, I’m in, let’s do it.’”

Stern's agent, whom he called following the report, responded that the deal is not on the table.

“I am telling you with my hand over my heart, I don’t have anywhere near a deal."

Now, this does not mean Stern, whose contract runs through December, is going to leave SiriusXM. He admitted again how much he loves the company. He has even has stock in it.

SiriusXM remains the favorite.

Many, including Stern, have speculated: who leaked this? News gets out when someone wants it out, but it's unclear who benefits from this report.

Stern says he doesn't think anyone at SiriusXM leaked the fake news.

My best guess: Stern told some hopeful podcast company "no," and they took this to the reporters.
