Clay Vs. Karen Rovell Is On Again Via Jack Nicklaus Endorsing Donald Trump

Late Wednesday, Jack Nicklaus announced his endorsement of Donald Trump for reelection as President of the United States, and that news rocked Karen Rovell to his core as he awoke this morning in his palatial basement. "This will be the most divisive thing he has ever done," Rovell said of the endorsement.

Nicklaus endorsing Trump is actually one of the least surprising moves of the 2020 election endorsement cycle. The Golden Bear and Trump golf together. Trump named a villa at the Doral golf club after Nicklaus. Nicklaus has spoken out favorably at how Tiger Woods has handled the media when it wants him to speak badly about the president. And Nicklaus publicly endorsed Trump in 2016. It's like Rovell's brain has been too busy studying the baseball card market and not keeping track of the friendship between Jack and Trump.

"I like what Donald has done," Nicklaus told CBS in 2016. "He's turning America upside-down. awakening the country. Is he as smooth and as politically correct as he should be? Probably not. But he'll learn. He's not stupid. He didn't get where he was being dumb. I like the guy. He's a good man. If he's the one that's on the ticket, then I'll be voting for him."

Now in the runup to the 2020 presidential election, Nicklaus says nearly the same thing he said in 2016, just on Instagram. Yet this is the most divisive thing Nicklaus has ever done? C'mon, Rovell.

It's nice to have an old fashioned Clay vs. Rovell tweet-off so close to the election, but it seems as if Karen knows he's outmatched in this battle. He's bunkered down and engaged Clay as little as possible:
