Giants Won't Push RB Saquon Barkley; Not Likely To Have 'Full Workload' In Opener

If the New York Giants are looking to have a much better and successful 2021, the team will need running back Saquon Barkley back in a big way.

It was early in just the second week of the season when Barkley suffered an ACL injury that ended his season.

This past week Barkley put on the pads but said he was still unsure if he is going to be able to take the field in the opener at home against Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver Broncos.

Barkley was used so much the first two seasons in the pros, it's a wonder he didn't get hurt earlier in his career.

Barkley had 1,003 yards rushing and 438 yards receiving in 13 games during the 2019 season. The way the Giants offensive line sits, this team should be able to start re-establishing the run game, which took a huge blow when Barkley went down so early in the season.
