Giants Survive Cowboys, Await WFT - Eagles Result for NFC East Playoff Berth

The New York Giants held on to beat the Cowboys 23-19 today, and now we await the result of the Sunday Night Football game between the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles to determine who wins the NFC East.

If Washington Football Team wins, they are in the playoffs as the fourth seed in the NFC. If the Eagles win, the Giants win the division. The winner of the NFC East will host the fifth-seeded Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady.

The end of Giants-Cowboys was wild. First, Andy Dalton brought the Cowboys to first and goal at the Giants' 7 with under two minutes left and the chance to take the lead with a touchdown. However, Dalton threw an interception to Xavier McKinney.

Then, with the chance to ice the game, Giants running back Wayne Gallman Jr. fumbled. There was question of whose ball it should've been -- with one official disagreeing with another -- but the play stood as called on the field, Giants ball, upon review.

Whether it's Giants or Washington, a 7-9 team will be hosting Tom Brady in a playoff game.
