Giants QB Daniel Jones 'On Track' To Return Against The Rams Following Concussion

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been in the NFL's concussion protocol following an early exit against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. With backup Mike Glennon taking first-team practice reps all week, Giants fans eagerly await to see if Jones will be ready for Week 6's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Giants head coach Joe Judge spoke with the media following practice on Wednesday, giving some encouraging news on his young QB's status.

"I would say from all the information we have, yes," claimed Judge, signaling a likely return for Jones against the elite Rams defense. "If he is cleared medically he would be an option." He added, "We're fully preparing for both quarterbacks. Mike does a great job every week coming in and preparing."

Attempting a run at the goal line, Jones made helmet-to-helmet contact with Cowboys linebacker Jabril Cox. The QB stumbled as he tried to get up from the hit and was evaluated for a concussion, then ruled out by the end of the second quarter.

The Giants also lost top receiver Kenny Golladay, rookie cornerback Rodarius Williams and starting running back Saquon Barkley in the contest. Williams was ruled out for the year with a torn ACL, while Golladay (knee) and Barkley (ankle) are considered week-to-week cases.
