Georgia Ready To Rock In New $80M Football Facility

The Georgia Bulldogs already have excellent facilities, but that's not stopping them from continuing to improve what they provide for their student athletes. The latest example of that comes from the program's new $80 million football facility, which is set to open for use in June.

Unfortunately, there haven't been a lot of visuals that show what the new facility looks like. But we have gotten a few clips in recent weeks showing coaches moving into their new offices, as well as player reactions to seeing the facility for the first time.

Based on those reactions, I bet it's pretty sweet.

According to Conor Riley with DawgNation, the facility includes a new weight room and locker room and substantial improvement in the sports medicine areas. Riley points out that last part could be useful as several key Georgia players work their way back to full health after injuries.

The timing couldn't be more perfect. The summer portion of the offseason is just getting underway, and recruits will soon be back on campus visiting. In other words, having a brand new $80 million facility to show off will be yet another great selling point on Athens.
