Gary Sanchez Looks Really Good In Spring Training

In the "way too early" observations for the 2021 MLB season, Yankees' catcher Gary Sanchez is back! He's putting on a show at the plate, and he did it again today. Spring training Gary Sanchez needs to become a regular thing.

Watch:

As @TalkinYanks points out, that's now three homers in just six spring training outings. This doesn't mean the Yankees have their 2017 All-Star back, but it does mean he's making progress.

Any sign of life at this point is better than what he did last year, when he posted a dismal .147 batting average. And it's also worth noting that a batter's "average" doesn't necessarily make him worthless. Sanchez was quite literally the worst starting player on any roster, but his defense could make Stevie Wonder sweat.

Sanchez has a laser for an arm behind the dish and is known for routinely throwing out base stealers, so it's really the bat that matters here. If he can bring his sudden resurgence into the season, then it's possible you see Gary Sanchez in pinstripes after this year. If not...well, see ya later.

Really pulling for the kid.
