Fox News and NY Times See North Carolina Much Differently

Videos by OutKick

Fox News and the New York Times do not agree on the key state of North Carolina.

As shown by Mediaite, Fox News has Joe Biden with an 89% win probability. The New York Times has the meter at 94% for President Donald Trump.

There’s more clarity with the Times, which is going off 80% of the counted vote. It’s unclear how much of the vote Fox News had at the time it made that projection.

Much like Florida —in which Trump leads— the president needs North Carolina more than Biden. While North Carolina would be big, Biden still has several paths to victory without it. Nearly all of Trump’s paths include winning North Carolina.

As of 9:44 ET, the New York Times has the following projections:

  • Trump 95% likely in Florida
  • Trump 95% likely in North Carolina
  • Trump 85% likely in Georgia

Trump is now the betting favorite. Stay tuned at OutKick.
