Former Patriot QB Says Rap Music Has Cam Newton Distracted

Jamie Foxx wanted to blame it on the vodka, blame it on the Henny, blame it on the blue top and overall, pretty much just blame it on the a a a a a alcohol. Now, a former Patriots quarterback is shifting blame from spirits to songs. Scott Zolak believes rap music is distracting current New England signal caller, Cam Newton.

Zolak, employed as a Patriots color analyst and 98.5 "The Sports Hub" co-host, spent seven seasons playing for New England in the mid-1990s. The ex-quarterback told his Sports Hub audience that the hip hop needs to go: "I'd turn off the rap music first of all. Because I think it's distracting for Cam here. Because in between every throw, he's dancing."

In using the same phrase that often describes a fat kid at a buffet, Zolak continued harping on Cam's choice of tunes: "He can't help himself."

Clearly bothered by Newton's propensity to cut a rug between throwing routes, Zolak didn't let up: "He makes a throw and then (dances)."

The shame!

Zolak should spend his Friday evening doing a little Netflix and chill with Ren McCormack and the Footloose crew. Maybe then he'll understand why Ren quotes Ecclesiastes: "There is a time to every purpose under heaven – a time to laugh and a time to weep. There is a time to mourn and there is a time to dance.”
