Former NFL TE Vernon Davis Looking To Make The Transition To The Acting World

Former NFL tight end Vernon Davis had a successful NFL career, playing for more than a decade in the league.

The 37-year-old played 15 seasons total between San Francisco, Washington and Denver, pulling in 583 catches for 7,562 yards and 63 scores.

Now the ex-tight end is moving on to a second career, this time in Hollywood.

Since retiring, Davis has appeared in projects with the likes of Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson and John Malkovich.

"Over time, I'll probably show up in so many projects that people will get used to seeing me as an actor and forget about me as a player," Davis said recently in a podcast.

"I think about watching Terry Crews and The Rock , and you see them and you don't think about them as athletes because you see them in so many different projects. That will probably happen with me."

To this point, Davis has acted in five movies, and he's already linked to three other movies that will start shooting shortly.

Davis not only acts in movies, he's also founded a pair of production companies, Reel 85 and Between the Lines Productions.

Don't be surprised if you see Davis coming soon to a theater near you, or you wind up watching a production from Reel 85 or Between the Lines.
