Former Baller Lamar Odom Inks Celebrity Boxing Deal To Fight In June

The boxing game doesn't have a whole lot going for it right now, but celebrity boxing seems to be gaining momentum, and another name is set to throw his name in the ring.

Former NBA champion Lamar Odom has inked a deal to put on the gloves and fight this summer with Celebrity Boxing.

TMZ reports that the 41-year-old will be in the ring to fight June 12th in Atlantic City, NJ at the Showboat Casino.

The report says that the organization is still seeking a "big-name celeb" to matchup against the 6-10 Odom, who won a pair of titles in 2009 and 2010, and was the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in 2011.

Odom has tried to get back to the spotlight ever since he nearly died back in 2015, passing out at Dennis Hof's Nevada brothel.

He was part of Ice Cube's failed basketball "Big3 League," but word is he is determined to make the most of putting the gloves on and fighting.

The June 12th fight will also feature singer Aaron Carter.
