Former Alabama DL Lorenzo Washington Dead At 34

Former Alabama defensive lineman Lorenzo Washington has died, according to multiple reports. He was 34.

The cause of death had not been determined as of Monday morning.  

Washington played at Alabama from 2005-09, winning a national championship as a senior. He appeared in 46 games for the Crimson Tide overall, compiling 69 tackles and 12 tackles for a loss.

He went undrafted by the NFL following his senior season, but spent three years on practice squads with the New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys.

Multiple former Crimson Tide teammates, including linebacker Eryk Anders, currently of the MMA, shared their condolences via social media.
