Flyers’ Jakub Voracek Goes Off On ‘Weasel’ Philly Columnist During Press Conference

Flyers right winger Jakub Voracek is officially fed up with Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Mike Sielski and the boiling point came Friday night during the team’s Zoom press conference when Voracek didn’t hold back on Mike.

The Flyers are off to a 2-0 start and were coming off a 5-2 win over the Penguins when Voracek, a 13-year veteran said enough is enough. Mike asks a softball question, but Voracek was feeling ready to go and dropped the gloves.

“Doesn’t matter Mike, you’re gonna write f*****g s–t every time…I wasn’t even gonna answer your question, you’re such a weasel it’s not even funny,” Voraceck fired back.

Uh, we have ourselves a murder on the Zoom press conference streets.

So what’s the story here? Why is Jakub fired up? Flyers fans, and Sielski, believe it stems from a column he wrote October 31, 2019. It looks like I’m out of free Inquirer stories, even though I don’t remember visiting the Inquirer in the last 3-4 months, so you’ll have to go read it and see what’s juicy.

I’ll continue writing columns/stories about the Flyers with the same approach I’ve always had: with a critical eye and by reporting before writing, praising them when I think they warrant it, criticizing them (sometimes sharply) when I think they deserve it. Thanks,” Sielski tweeted Friday night after the fireworks had exploded across Zoom.

  1. I was subscriber to the Philadelphia Inquirer for years. The publication got so woke all I could read in that paper was the sports page. Then the sports writers became obsessed with social justice (especially, Marcus Hayes) so I cancelled my subscription several months ago and hooked up with Outkick for my sports fix. Sielski is actually a very good writer but hamstrings himself with wokeness.
