FSU QB dismissed after this video appears to show him punching woman

UPDATE (Monday, 10:12 p.m. ET): A lawyer for De'Andre Johnson told NBC News that the woman Johnson allegedly punched shouted "racial epithets" at him when he accidentally bumped her at the bar.

UPDATE (9:55 p.m. ET): Coach Jimbo Fisher has dismissed De'Andre Johnson from the Florida State football team, the school announced Monday night.

Last week, Florida State freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson was charged with misdemeanor battery, accused of punching a woman at a Tallahassee bar.

Johnson turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest and was released from jail last Thursday after posting a $500 bond.

The charges were issued by Florida state attorney Willie Meggs after he reportedly viewed video footage of the incident.

Now that video footage has been released by the state attorney's office for all to see.

Johnson appears to enter the bottom of the picture around the 1:46 mark wearing a backward white hat. The man punches the woman around 2:02 after she throws a punch.

It's difficult to see how Johnson, who is suspended indefinitely from the FSU football program, remains on the team with this video now public.

Here's the footage (warning: It's obviously very disturbing).
