Sports fans continue to make up for lost time in 2020 when they couldn’t punch each other in the stands. On the heels of last week’s wild one-punch knockout by Padres fan on Rockies fan comes some scrapping at UFC 262 Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Think about how these savages were locked up in their houses, in their secret garage bars, hiding from the COVID security details watching their every move, and now they’ve been unleashed back into society like rabid dogs. One thing leads to another, and fists are flying as people get themselves back into fighting shape as the world reopens its doors to mayhem.

Fighting in the stands wasn’t exclusive to the United States on Saturday night. Punches were also thrown in the stands during an Australian Rules football game. It’s going to take a couple of months for everyone to get this out of their system before people settle in as sports return to normal. That said, wait until Eagles fans get back in the stands. Buckle up for that in September. It’s going to be wild.
