I've pulled myself out of the super cold slump I was in, and I'm back over 50%. So far, my fade or follow record is 30-27, and we are looking to make it over 54% with two bets tonight.

Athletics (+114) vs. Red Sox (-134) 7:11 p.m. ET

It's the battle of two teams who are on top of their divisions. Boston is on top of the AL East with a 22-14 record, while Oakland is atop the AL West with a 21-15 record. The public believes that the Red Sox are the better division leader, since 65% of picks are on Boston.

For the Red Sox, Nathan Eovaldi is taking the mound. So far in 2021, Eovaldi is 4-2 in seven games with a 4.62 ERA and a 1.231 WHIP. For the Athletics, Chris Bassitt is starting. So far in 2021, Bassitt is 2-2 in seven games with a 3.70 ERA and a 1.210 WHIP.

The pitching matchup is very similar, but there are significant differences in their respective offenses. The Red Sox are 1st in runs scored, 1st in hits, and 11th in home runs. The Athletics are 16th in runs scored, T21st in hits, and T4th in home runs. Oakland is an all-or-nothing team, and they need to keep up these home runs if they want to stay above Houston, who is 2.5 games behind.

In their last ten games, both of these teams have similar records, with Oakland going 5-5 and Boston going 6-4. However, they both played bad opponents in those games as well. The Red Sox had series against the Orioles, Tigers, and Rangers, while the Athletics had series against the Rays, Blue Jays, and Orioles. I believe that the Red Sox are the better team with a better offense that will hit against Oakland's pitching. I'm following the public with my pick.

The pick: Red Sox -134

Twins (+106) vs. White Sox (-124) 8:11 p.m. ET

The hyped White Sox are finally looking like a good team. They are 1st in the AL Central with a 19-13 record. The Twins, on the other hand, aren't good, and it seems as if their 17 straight playoff losses might come to an end this year, since they might not even make the playoffs. They are currently 3rd in the AL Central with a 12-20 record. The public believes that the White Sox will easily beat this bad team, as 74% of picks are on the White Sox.

Dylan Cease is taking the mound for the White Sox tonight. So far in 2021, Cease is 2-0 in six games with a 2.37 ERA and a 1.220 WHIP. Kenta Maeda is starting for the Twins tonight. So far in 2021, Maeda is 2-2 in six games with a 5.02 ERA and 1.535 WHIP.

It's apparent that Chicago has the upper hand in the pitching matchup tonight, but they also have a significantly better offense. The White Sox offense is 6th in runs, T7th in hits, and 28th in home runs. The Twins, by comparison, are 16th in runs, 16th in hits, and 9th home runs. So Minnesota is better at hitting home runs, but there are other ways to score runs, and the White Sox are T5th in RBIs this year.

Chicago has the upper hand in the pitching matchup tonight, they have a better offense, and they have better momentum. So far in their last ten games, the White Sox are 7-3, compared to the Twins at 5-5. I'm following the public with my pick tonight, and I believe that the -124 is very low for this White Sox team going against a bad Twins team.

The pick: White Sox -126
