It's been a couple of days since the last fade or follow article. Since then, we went 1-1, which makes the record 27-23 overall and 12-9 in baseball. The Angels let us down, but the Padres and Dodgers only scored five runs easily hitting under 7.5 runs.

Phillies (-108) vs. Cardinals (-108) 7:46 p.m. ET

The Phillies are still looking to get to .500 this entire season. They have flirted with it but are currently 10-11. The Cardinals are chasing the Brewers for the top of the NL Central. They are two games back and are hoping to keep their momentum after sweeping the Reds this weekend. The public believes that the Phillies will break the Cardinal's streak since 54% of bets are on Philidelphia. The Phillies had lost 2 out of their last 3 against the Rockies and got pummeled 2-12 yesterday. Zack Wheeler is taking the mound for the Phillies tonight. In 2021 Wheeler is 1-2 in four games with a 3.80 ERA and 1.310 WHIP. In his last four road starts, Wheeler is 0-4 and 0-4 after coming off a loss. For St. Louis, Adam Wainwright is starting. In 2021 Wainwright is 0-2 in four games with a 5.03 ERA and a 1.525 WHIP. Is Wainwright washed now, or will he bounce back to his all-star form? The Cardinals are an all-or-nothing offense as they are T4th in home runs, 18th in hits, and 20th in batting average. Compared to the Phillies, who are the opposite, they are 21st in home runs, T12th in hits, and 6th in batting average. St. Louis is a much better pitching staff than the Phillies regardless of Wainwright's bad stats; they are 11th in batting average, 12th in hits allowed, and 18th in ERA. Compared to the Phillies, who are 28th in batting average, 25th in hits allowed, 27th ERA. Philidelphia has to travel to St. Louis after losing badly against the Rockies yesterday, and I see the Cardinals keeping their momentum going. So I'm fading the public with my pick.

The pick: Cardinals -108

Rockies (+148) vs. Giants (-176) 9:46 p.m. ET

The -176 is horrible value, especially after the Rockies won 12-2 against the Phillies yesterday. Instead of picking a side, I will look at the total set at 7.5 runs. The public is, of course, rooting for runs as 54% are on the over. The public thinks that the Rockies will have another huge offense night, but the Giants are a much better pitching team than the Phillies. San Fransico is 2nd in ERA and 3rd in earned runs. Anthony DeSclafari is taking the mound for the Giants tonight, and Austin Gomber is starting for the Rockies. The Rockies and Giants couldn't be more opposite of offenses. The Rockies are 9th in runs, 10th in hits, and 8th in batting average. Compared to the Giants, 25th in runs, 21st in hits, and 24th in batting average. I believe that the Giant's pitching staff will keep the Rockies offense quiet and that the Giants offense will keep struggling. So I'm fading the public with my pick.

The pick: Under 7.5 runs
