On Wednesday, Phil Steele’s Preseason All-American list was released. Because of Steele’s reputation, people almost always take notice of who made it, and this year was no different. The list includes a first, second, third and fourth-team group.
There are 33 different SEC players included on it. And while Texas A&M didn’t have the most players on the list overall, three Aggies players made the First Team group, including tight end Jalen Wydermyer, offensive tackle Kenyon Green and defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal.
The team finished in the top 5 last season, so this amount of returning talent explains why everyone remains high on the Aggies — even if they have to replace longtime starting quarterback Kellen Mond.
Overall, nine of the 14 SEC teams are represented. So does your squad make an appearance? Check it out.

OK, I can buy it…. my question is … Malachi Moore being 4th team??? K, so he’s a true Sophomore with a National Title, covered some of the best receivers in the NCAA and showed instincts akin to a senior as a freshman.
I hope he takes this as a challenge.
