150 Spring Breakers Arrested In Miami Beach

In a case of spring break gone wrong, nearly 150 people were arrested in Miami Beach over the weekend, after multiple college-aged men and women embarked on the city for the usual fare of fun.

Friday marked the wildest day, according to Miami's Local 10 News, as about 120 people were arrested and two police officers injured.

"Street after street of groups got out of control and led to confrontations with police who, at one point, used pepper balls to break things up," Local 10 News in Miami reported.

Police said things calmed down a little Saturday, then significantly Sunday. They reportedly used pepper spray to get things under control Friday.

“A lot of people are coming here and they are coming here with the wrong intentions,” Miami Beach mayor Dan Gelber said, via Local 10.
