Emmaa Char Crushes A Corona, Stros-Dodgers Fans Throw Fists & Trash Can Destroyed In Ohio Storm

It's the last day of school around here

Let's just say it's been an interesting school year for our 8-year-old son who started the year back in August doing in-person four days a week with Monday being an absolute torture day for my wife who now works from home. Thanksgiving break was torture, then they went back to school for a couple of weeks, then Christmas break, which turned into at-home schooling in early January before the kids went back to in-person for what would soon become five days a week in February.

Now for the bad news on the horizon...we're about to go back to having four people in the house all summer except for the vacations and days when grandma and grandpa take these maniacs to go climb rocks and hills in an attempt to wear them out. Good luck to the in-laws with that challenge.

Now for the good news on the horizon...it's time to get back out on the road after one helluva long grind here at OutKick over the last year, going extremely hard with very few days off. Items on the agenda: golf, Put-In-Bay, Florida in July, northern Michigan fishing and canoeing, and whatever else sounds like fun during the remaining free weekends. Then, in the fall, it'll be time to get back to full college football stadiums. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to that.

• Did you see the reaction Knicks fans had to winning a playoff game? Of course, you didn't because you hate the NBA. Anyway, fans took to the streets to celebrate like the franchise won the NBA title. That's exactly the feeling I want to have one day when my Bengals win a playoff game. I want that feeling running through my veins.

• Hate the Pittsburgh Penguins? You're in luck this morning as the Islanders eliminated the Pens and guaranteed that you can rest a little easier knowing Sidney Crosby won't be getting near the Stanley Cup this season. Now what happens to the Penguins' big three – Crosby, Malkin and Kris Letang – that have been together for what feels like two decades? “I’ve never been one to try to be GM, and I’m not going to start now,” Crosby said after the Pens were eliminated. “I think those guys want to win. I know that we’ve been together a long time. I’ve seen how much they care, their commitment. I don’t ever doubt or question that."

• What would it take to get a baseball stadium in Las Vegas for the A's? Oakland ownership has floated a $1 billion price tag. With space near the Strip at a premium, it would be interesting to hear where they'd put this new domed ballpark. I'm no Vegas expert, but I can look at Google Earth and see there aren't many options like what the Raiders ended up with.

• It's mowing night, and a big cold front is on the way. I'm up against it tonight, fellas. It's going to be a mow and then sit back for the heavy rain that's on the way. All the best to you later tonight.
