Here are some things I’m thankful for off the top of my head
I’m thankful for…
- Not having to drive I-4 from the Disney exit to the Kissimmee exit on a daily basis
- Never having to go through the Disney World Peter Pan standby line the rest of my life; please don’t let your wife talk you into that experience as the ‘Lightning’ pass holders walk right on and force you to stand in hallways to Peter’s bedroom. I’ve seen enough of Peter Pan’s house to last me a lifetime
- My trigger finger on the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear ride; managed to rack up 98,100 points which destroyed my ultra-competitive video game-playing wife
- Being finished using the Disney app to order food
- Kids who refused to go back into the Disney main street shops to find a souvenir because they just wanted to get in the car and go back to grandmas
- Sunshine and 65 or so on Thanksgiving morning
- Copy editor Cortney W. who makes sure to correct me when I write “playoff births.” She’s so nice about it
- Clay for sliding into the DMs in 2020 and saying he wanted me to join the OutKick reboot; it’s been an incredible 2021 on a professional level; this column is an absolute beast and is so powerful that it grants me the ability to get away and do Disney with the kids on Thanksgiving Eve
- The readers and emailers who have turned what used to be a simple column on my life experiences & garage life into what I consider to be the digital version of a sports & pop culture talk radio show
- My Bengals being over .500 this time of year
- My wife for being very understanding when I want to play another 18 with the guys
• Dale A. in Orlando wins the week with this email. Thanks for saying it Dale!
Everyone always says friends, family, health, etc. etc. etc. Let’s go off-board. Thanks Joe Kinsey for keeping me entertained during lunch at my desk. Thanks to Buc-ee’s and WaWa for the best gas station food and snacks in the country.

I am thankful for my family. Four kids, all happily married to wonderful spouses, and five grandkids, ranging in age from 21 to 2. I am proud of them all. And I am thankful for Screencaps. I am not patronizing you, I just truly look forward to your article each morning. So thank you and keep up the good work.
• Brent P. in Indy:
Tough question. I have been pondering all day. There are so many things to be thankful for that I thought I would give you my top ten.
10. Thankful that I did the Pfish concert this summer and that I don’t have to do it again
9. Thankful for Reggie Miller. May he never be forgotten in Indianapolis for being loyal
8. Thankful for Jack at Meijer that shows up every day at Meijer to greet people. He truly is a rock star in our 10-mile radius of a community
7. Thankful that this is an off-year and I don’t have to host any in-laws for thanksgiving
6. Thankful for my grandfather, three uncles, sx cousins, one nephew who served our country to keep us free.
5. Thankful for Jason Whitlock that he helped me find with his writing and commentary OKTC
4. Thankful to OKTC the website. My go to website every morning for sports and other miscellaneous content.
3. Thankful for the Screencaps community that helps me realize that there are people out there like me.
2. Thankful for my career that allows me to enjoy the work I do to provide for my family
1. Thankful for my family and that they are healthy and thriving.
• Ryan W. wants to show off some Wednesday night meat for the Thursday Night Grilling League:
Yeah yeah yeah it’s Wednesday not Thursday, but tomorrow is for turkey only. Grilled marinated tri-tip and several Busch Lights (not pictured) for your eye pleasure.

• Paul B. writes:
If you are down on Marco and you are driving down Collier Boulevard (951 to the locals) give a honk as you pass Port Au Prince drive (i think it’s drive IDK to be honest). That’s where my house is down that way.
• John G. has tee time suggestions for me:
Faithful reader here who’s a Cincinnati native now trapped in Ann Arbor. Don’t marry a college professor. So my in-laws have a place in St Pete beach so I spend a lot of time there. I actually started taking my son when he was 5 to Treasure Island Golf club which is a small par 3 that juts out into Boca Ciega Bay.
Really fun way to introduce them to the game and there’s an awesome Cubano place called The Floridian a few minutes away.
For an adult-style course I think Cove Cay is the best value. Fun course with lots of water and trees but not nearly as expensive as some other offerings. Clearwater CC and Broadmoor suck. I do like Seminole Lake but their prices have gone crazy.
Cody’s still has kids eating free a couple of nights a week as well which appeals to any thin walleted southwest Ohio native. Enjoy the sunshine, it’s colder in Cincinnati than Michigan this morning.
• Thank you to all of you who have provided Largo, Florida suggestions. I’m throwing the kids on a plane later tonight after Thanksgiving with mom and Ray. I will be back to work in the morning with a normal Black Friday shift because I know you guys won’t be working and will need something to click on while the wives are out shopping.
Have a great Thanksgiving and try not to get too many naps during the football games.
