Eli Manning Hilariously Takes Credit For Nephew Arch’s Viral Throw

The feet. The flip. The 40-yarder.

Everything about the Arch Manning throw that went viral on Twitter was exquisite, and it was made possible because of the rarest of quarterback genes that have been passed down through the generations within the Manning family.

Arch Manning, son of Cooper Manning—older brother of Peyton and Eli—is a five-star high school quarterback out of Isidore Newman and was spotted at a Clemson camp throwing dimes to receivers during a tour of colleges. One throw caught on camera showcased a symphony of quarterbacking mechanics that appear to warrant the massive hype behind the Manning protégé.

Former Giants QB and uncle to Arch, Eli Manning, quoted the viral video of Arch’s throw, and claimed some credit along the way.

“I taught him that,” tweeted Uncle Eli. Known for career-defining Super Bowl throws to David Tyree in Super Bowl XLII and an immaculate sideline throw to Mario Manningham in Super Bowl XLVI, the all-time great Giants quarterback may not be kidding.

Not only are the Mannings (Eli and Peyton) known for their combined four Super Bowl titles, 18 Pro Bowl nods, and sense of humor off the field—with spots on SNL and DirecTV commercials to prove it—neither quarterback is too shy to drop the occasional jest on social media. This time, it was Eli’s turn.
