While we wait to learn the winner of the 2020 presidential election, we are calling out the winners and losers from last night in the media.
Here we go:
Loser: Joy Reid
I don’t care whom you voted for, which party you support or what news network you consume. Joy Reid is shameful. She’s as radical as anyone on TV. She constantly spreads misinformation, preaches hate, and goes on-air with statements that would likely get someone on the right canceled for life.
It is inexcusable for MSNBC to act as if she is an objective voice on election night. MSNBC is to blame for this moment on its airwaves:

Disgusting.
Winner: The Daily Wire
The Daily Wire’s live election show was as well produced as any of the networks. With Jeremy Boreing, Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan — the Daily Wire had a lively, informative broadcast that relied on dialogue over repetitive analysis.
During its coverage, the Daily Wire announced the addition of Candace Owens. With nearly 3 million Twitter followers, Owens is a social media lightning rod who will bolster the brand’s influential reach.
“Candace is going to make the move with us to Nashville,” Boreing said. “I don’t want to tell people too much what we’re working on … but we are working on a show together. Candace and I have been collaborating behind the scenes.”
This March, Owens’ show will be taped before a live studio audience in Nashville.
Big-name additions are the next step if digital outlets are to compete with cable news. In sports media, both Barstool and the Ringer have begun to chase established names. The Daily Wire should do the same in the news industry.
Loser: Jemele Hill
Though I never bought into it, Trump was a heavy betting favorite for a moment last night. Naturally, the loudest Twitter accounts saw so and threw a fit.
Per usual, Jemele Hill led the way. Hill skipped the reasons and handed out blame. Yep, you guessed it: the early results were racist.
Blame everything on a white person, she advised:
Somebody is starting to get big mad, y’all. Trump is winning way more Hispanic and black voters in 2020 than he did in 2016. They are seeing through the constant blue checkmark allegations of racism for what it is — bullshit. pic.twitter.com/06OG45W61Q

“No one else.” Just white people.
Winner: John King and Bill Hemmer
Watching the map come together, the “what-ifs” and the red vs. blue can sometimes feel like the first kickoff of the NFL season.
Both CNN’s John King and Fox News’ Bill Hemmer were fantastic.
Somehow, King’s energy increased as the rest of the country fell asleep. At times, CNN’s coverage was wacky and emotional, especially with far-left hacks like Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo. Luckily, King saved it and led the way in the headlines.
Hemmer is phenomenal. He was in a tough position all night once the network called Arizona for Joe Biden and the Trump campaign pushed back, claiming it was “far too early.” Hemmer normalized the tension and broke down scenarios other networks did not.
To put in perspective, Hemmer stood out on a set with Bret Baier and updates from Tucker Carlson.
Winner: Dana Perino
Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson are Fox News’ biggest stars. Fox & Friends is significant to its brand. Bret Baier is among the industry’s most valuable talents. After that, the list above Dana Perino quickly shrinks.
From the Daily Briefing to The Five to election coverage — Perino has had a banner year.
Perino clicks with both Fox’s news division and opinion hosts. As a hybrid, Perino was critical for the network last night.
CNN and MSNBC surrounded its news teams with opinion hosts — Reid, Rachel Maddow, Cuomo, Lemon — and it didn’t work. It was awkward and distracting. As a hybrid, Perino provided both analysis and the needed energy spark for coverage.
Loser: The polls
Going into the night, there were three possible outcomes: Biden in a landslide, Biden narrowly, and Trump narrowly. Networks mostly relied on polls that projected the first option, which was proven wrong quickly.
I am not anti-polls. I wasn’t in 2016 either. But twice now, major pollsters have failed to accurately represent Donald Trump’s support.
Perhaps, this is a Trump problem. Maybe in 2024, when Trump is not running, pollsters can redeem credibility. But I fear that’s not the case. It may be that Americans are afraid to voice their opinions. They are worried about admitting over the phone to a stranger that they vote Republican, and that’s a problem. If Americans live in fear of cancel culture, how free are we?
Tuesday night was a loss for the polls, yes. What about Americans?

Winner: Newsmax and OANN. The last two real news channels
Losers: The nauseating Chris Wallace and Hate spewing racist Donna Brazille
“White people” coming from a disgusting black broad
We all lost last night, some more than others. Disgusted with my PA state officials, who happen to be Dems, and the annual corruption in Philadelphia….mamma Mia, I hope Trump continues his quest.
I watched Fox for short periods (mainly to see Hemmer work the map). I can’t stomach Chris Wallace, Donna Brazille, and Juan Williams. Followed Newsmax for most of the evening. I’ve heard that Wisconsin recorded 120,000 more ballots than actual registered voters. Hope it true. The Trump team has already filed several lawsuits.
Everyone that voted for Biden truly hates America and is obviously uneducated, uninformed sheeple. All they need to look at is how California and China are run. Pelosi will wait about 3 months, then use the 25th Amendment of Biden, saying he’s not competent enough to run the country, then she’ll hand over the reigns to Kamala and together they’ll start to turn America into California.
Tim, you hit the nail on the head. Actually I think it will be closer to Venezuela than California. Unfortunately, my granddaughter is going to grow up in a @#$%hole.
Yep, 100% true.
I thought the Louder with Crowder election coverage was pretty good. I started with Daily Wire, but transitioned to Crowder after Dave Rubin left.
Wallace lost all credibility at that debate. Straight partisan deuchbag. U can tell he thinks Trump’s a big bad bully. Wallace is a pussy. Juan Williams has to go. I get Fox wanting a voice for the other side but this dude is a moron. Way out of his league last night. You could tell the other panel members were wondering what the fuck he was talking about. And I get he’s a liberal. But to this day he suggests that the rioting and looting throughout the country was primarily caused by right wing groups like the Proud Boys. He loses any credibility he might have when he says stupid shit like that. I’m sure there’s a black liberal who they can get who can articulate a position without sounding like a fucking idiot all the time.
You clearly don’t understand Lachlan Murdock’s vision for the new, more objective Fox News Channel. Ever since Rupert retired FNC has been on a downhill slide. Wallace and Williams are insufferable prigs while Baier has been in DC so long he now feels compelled to give the Dims the the benefit of the doubt, while trying to roast Reps.
How bad are we screwed? All the jobs that came here will be gone.
What about a VP who supported a green new deal? Not sure why no one is bringing this up
Been a fan of Dana Perino for a long long time , she is fantastic.
Here’s why…..she’s been there and done that. All these other chuckleheads who have been “covering” politics for a long time were never “in” politics.
She is a compass for this guy.
Loser: Fox News in general. They called AZ way too soon, they called Trump wins way too late. They fell all over themselves painting the rosiest picture for Biden. Wallace is vapid and insufferable. Bair and McCallum smug. The best moment was when Tucker eviscerated the media and polling over their Trump hate and contempt for most of America. Fox has been pushed to the left or at least “Never Trump” by the Murdoch sons and board member Paul Ryan. I do not want sunshine pumpers, but I expect professionalism at minimum.
I blame the premature calling of Arizona on Political Director Chris Stirewalt who hates Trump and constantly defends the skewed polling of decidedly more Democrats than Republicans. Still hoping the Fox News call of Arizona is proven wrong.
If Trump does, in fact, lose, you are going to see a new Trump News Network (TNN). IT`s going to expose corruption and report facts. It’s going to be Uuugege!
That would be phenomenal. The most needed reformation of all is that of the news media and the incursion of big Tech and its influence on the first amendment. Biden would have never gotten out of the primaries had the media done its job. And Tuesday night would have been a clear cut Trump victory. Present clear and objective information and let the people do with it what they will.
I was a Fox News watcher,,,I am watching more and more NEWSMAX .
JUAN WILLIAMS is on every fox program ! I have had enough of him !
I too am finding myself watching Newsmax more and more.
O/U on the length of a Biden presidency: nine months. The family corruption that the media has tried to cover up, will suddenly be big news shortly after he is inaugurated. Either that or he will be declared mentally incompetent. Whatever it takes to get Kamala to be president, the media along with Nancy and Cryin’ Chuck will do.
I can remember when Juan Williams had his own opinions and didn’t spew the Democrat daily talking points. As far as Dana Perino goes anyone that says h-e- double hockey sticks instead of hell on air loses a little credibility with me.
Thank God I’m old. I won’t have to watch what becomes of this country. Smartly, the leftists are indoctrinating the kids so they’ll never know what they are missing, the greatest country the world has ever known. I suppose this is how it has always been. Other places have started similarly to the U.S.A then bit by bit, piece by piece citizens have given away their liberties for a hot cup of soup and sooner or later you have the Soviet Union and citizens are begging for a hot cup of soup.
