Donald Trump Aims at Roger Goodell on Anthem Kneeling

After President Donald Trump commented about how he wished Drew Brees didn't apologize for his comments about standing for the national anthem (and Brees responded), Trump set his sights on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell:

In case you missed it, Goodell had released a video in which he apologized that the NFL did not listen better to its players on racial matters over the last few years:

Essentially, Trump's tweet amounts to a sequel to the battle he had with the NFL in 2016 and 2017 in the wake of Colin Kaepernick starting a kneeling movement. A 2018 Wall Street Journal report shed light that Trump felt that hammering the NFL was a "winning issue" for him:

Whatever deal the NFL and/or its owners made with Trump to get him to leave them alone in 2018 and 2019 (when there were still some players like Michael Bennett and Eric Reid who kneeled during the Anthem) has evidently expired in the past few days, and it's probable that this dialogue will not be going away anytime soon.
