Donald Trump Has Some Sports Takes Today

As we emerge from July 4th weekend, President Donald Trump woke up with a couple of thoughts about the sporting world on his mind. It began with a take on Bubba Wallace and NASCAR:

During a press briefing later in the day, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany declined to specify whether or not this tweet represented a value judgment on the Confederate flag:

Then he weighed in on the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians, both of whom appear likely to change their names sooner than later. It included a shot at Elizabeth Warren:

Then, this tweet doesn't directly pertain to sports, per se, but colleges being open in the Fall will be an important component of the momentum for college football season to happen in its traditional season and not be delayed until the Spring:

Stay tuned to see if/when he weighs in on Disney/ESPN's decision to partner with Colin Kaepernick. My bet would be that happens today or tomorrow.
