Davante Adams Thanks Media, Remains Awesome

Our sports media can be absurdly intrusive at times, but Davante Adams still does his best to answer questions to the best of his ability. That commitment won the All-Pro receiver the first-ever unanimous Tom Mulhern Stand-Up Guy Award.

The Packers star offered this lengthy response as to why he puts so much effort into his answers:

"I try and get the most out of everything that I do and that was taught by my parents," Adams said. "Y'all (the media) have made it really easy to do this. Obviously when I went through a tough time in my career in 2015 where I didn't want to or I was asked questions I didn't want to answer. I never felt like I was ever treated unfairly through that whole process."

However, Adams also went out of his way to differentiate local reporters from those national goons who hunt clicks like blood-hungry vampires. Smart move to make friends with those who cover you at work.

Congratulations to Davante Adams on his well-deserved recognition as a good dude.
