News broke on Wednesday that Alabama coach Nick Saban had tested positive for COVID-19, leading to a growing belief that he will not be available for the upcoming game against Georgia on Saturday.
Those beliefs may have been a little premature.
College GameDay analyst Desmond Howard tweeted out on Friday morning that he believes Saban will be coaching on the field come Saturday night.
I believe Nick Saban will be on the field coaching tomorrow. Enjoy your Friday.

Is Howard simply giving his prediction or does he know something? It’s almost impossible to avoid reading too much into this sort of tweet, but it seems like he’s hinting at something.
There is also an ongoing debate about whether a loss should count against Saban’s record facing former assistant coaches. If he is not on the field, can it count against him? It depends on whom you ask.
But what if it doesn’t matter? What if Saban is able to coach against the Bulldogs on Saturday? And not just from a skybox, but from the field.
The longtime Alabama coach recovered from hip replacement surgery in a matter of days. Recovering in three days from an asymptomatic case of COVID-19 would only further the belief that Saban isn’t human.
Stay tuned. It’s going to be an interesting Saturday.

I could see a “false positive” coming. Nobody controls local media better than Saban.
Not sure how he could pull off being on the field unless it turns out his original test was a false positive, but I could see him pulling a Hugh Freeze and isolating himself in a press box.
Saban will use sheer will against the virus!
Trolling Desmond Howard. This is new.
