Deshaun Watson Lawyer 'Welcomes' Investigation

The attorney for Deshaun Watson said in a statement that he "welcomes" the investigation into the Houston Texans star quarterback. At least 22 women have accused Watson of sexual assault, a lawyer representing the women confirmed to OutKick.

“We welcome this long overdue development,” Rusty Hardin, Watson attorney, said in the statement. “Now we will learn the identity of at least one accuser. We will fully cooperate with the Houston Police Department.”

The comments made by Watson's attorney seem to suggest that Watson will cooperate and agree to be interviewed by police, as opposed to invoking his right against self-incrimination.

Tony Buzbee, the attorney for the women accusing Watson, told OutKick, “I will let the authorities do their jobs, and will continue to do mine, on behalf of these courageous women.” You can read his full statement here.
