According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Texans’ QB Deshaun Watson is “extremely unhappy” with team owner Cal McNair. This news comes after the organization signed a six-year deal with newly hired GM Nick Caserio.
Deshaun Watson has not spoken to #Texans brass in the last few days, though they have tried to call him. https://t.co/6ObYHqrdgB

As Rapoport points out, Watson’s unhappiness seems to stem from the franchise’s failure to consult with their franchise QB about the hire.
This has nothing to do with the actual hire of GM Nick Caserio. It has to do with the process. https://t.co/6ObYHqrdgB

Could Deshaun Watson eventually demand a trade out of Houston? It’s not likely, but teams will surely come calling now. More details are sure to be released in the coming hours, so we’ll keep you guys updated.
I said this in one of Matt Loede’s pieces on this storyline and I’ll repeat it here: Let’s not forget the fact that Watson signed that massive extension almost 6 months AFTER Nuk was traded. That’s on him for thinking the organization had his best interests in mind.
No argument against that.
Let’s also not forget that Watson is a player, not part of the ownership or front office. Watson can have a sit down anytime he wants, but he doesn’t write the checks. How would Watson feel if the owner called him into his office and started telling Watson how to quarterback? Players of all sports need to stay in their lane. If you want to have a say-so in day to day business, retire and work your way up the office food chain.
We know how that would go. They enjoy their way too high salaries.
He is an employee so stfu and just do your job like maybe win something some day
He wanted a BLM IN THAT JOB
i watched deshaun vs jaimies winston here in Tampa a year ago. famous j was much much better, but careless with the football. now he is a backup / 3rd QB on the saints. players play. they don’t coach or select other players.
only lebron does that and he is destroying the NBA’s balance and integrity.
I actually support Deshaun in his frustration with team ownership. The Texans have made a lot of bad decisions the past year or two. He’s their best player and has proven himself to be a premier QB in the league despite his lack of weapons. The guy doesn’t want to waste the prime of his career with a team that obviously doesn’t have a plan.
You are the player, not in management. Shut your pie hole.
Well he took money no one forced him
