Derrick Henry spends most of his Sundays torturing NFL defenders with a stiff arm of death, and now we have footage of his high school days. OutKick’s Clay Travis shared the total bloodbath that was 17-year-old Henry in the open field:
Was tackling Derrick Henry in high school — he rushed for 4,251 yards his senior year averaging 9.2 yards per carry and scoring 55 touchdowns — the hardest assignment in high school football history? pic.twitter.com/BO1vliujQ4
Never thought we would find someone with more bodies before they graduated high school than Kylie Jenner. First off, you can actually witness defenders making business decisions to avoid Derrick Henry in the open field at all costs. I mean, how can you expect a high school kid to return to first hour Monday after being legally assaulted while playing his favorite sport?
You can’t. Anyone who dared to tackle the eventual Titans star was flattened, and defenders looking for a foot race were burnt like those In-N-Out fries you tried to make taste better.
There’s just something so enjoyable and polarizing about high school football tape. This footage reminds us of some all-time great players like Reggie Bush abusing South Carolina high school football or Randy Moss streaking under the Friday night lights. High school Derrick Henry should’ve been illegal.
