Denver Shocks The NFL World By Not Drafting A QB

The Denver Broncos are going to have an interesting look when their offense takes the field in 2021, now that they shockingly did NOT draft a quarterback.

At all.

Broncos GM George Paton said Saturday evening that Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater will formally compete for the starting job when training camp begins this summer and that was "what we wanted all along."

That statement is hard to believe, considering that Denver spent most of the offseason talking about going and getting a new franchise quarterback.

Now it will be up to Locke or Bridgewater to lead this squad when they take the field.

"I like our room right now. I think I said that night. Teddy and Drew, they're going to have a great competition, that's what we wanted all along. We'll let them compete," Paton said.

"Does that mean we won't continue to look? No, I say that with every position. But I do look forward to getting Teddy here with Drew and having a great competition."

The Broncos have been associated with just about every free agent QB on the trade market.

Late last week, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said he wanted out of Green Bay, and by the time the 2021 NFL Draft started, many had the Broncos listed as the favorite to trade for A-Rod.
