Denver Reportedly Wants Nothing To Do With Eagles QB Carson Wentz

It seems like every day we hear about where unhappy quarterbacks like Deshaun Watson and Carson Wentz want to play in 2021 and beyond.

One day, Watson says he doesn't want to play for the Jets, later on the same day, Wentz is reportedly telling anyone who will listen he wants to play for Frank Reich and the Indianapolis Colts.

Now today there's more on the Wentz front. Troy Renck of Denver7 says the quarterback and Denver are not a match, that the Broncos have no interest in having him play in the Mile High City this upcoming season.

"#Broncos QB situation will dominate offseason discussion. They will pursue Watson if #Texans decide to trade him. They are not in on Wentz. Lock has handled noise well, working out, focused on having a great offseason. He understands he has to get better to keep/win job," Renck tweeted Monday.

Denver really needs a quarterback if they are going to turn the corner in 2021, yet they still reportedly aren't interested in Wentz. So Wentz had better start building some goodwill with other teams around the league if he wants to find a new home.

He needs to show that maybe 2020 was simply a down season for him, even though he has a history of struggling in Philadelphia.

This past season, the quarterback started 12 games, led the NFL in sacks taken (50) and total turnovers committed (19). He tied with Broncos incumbent Drew Lock for most interceptions thrown (15).

The 28-year-old is 35-32-1 in five seasons under center for the Eagles, throwing 113 touchdowns and 50 interceptions. He was benched in favor of backup QB Jalen Hurts at the end of the season.
