Denver Broncos Want To Keep Linebacker Von Miller

In the next week, Von Miller could get a new deal from the Denver Broncos, the team that inked him years ago, or he could be out on the free agency market looking for a new team.

The ball is in Denver's court as they hold an option for 2021, but if the team does pick up the option by March 16th, they would pay Miller $7 million of his $18 million salary for the coming season.

Mike Klis of KUSA reports that the Broncos would like Miller to rework his contract to lower that number as well as his $22.225 million cap hit.

Miller reportedly isn't thrilled about taking a pay cut, and there are rumors that he's going to bail and play elsewhere in 2021.

As he is on the last year of his deal, Denver has to be smart. They should not break the bank for the former Super Bowl MVP, no matter what Miller has meant to the franchise.
