“All Players OPTING out in all sports PLEASE BELIEVE the game will go on without u. This is a business & don’t u EVER forget that. There’s NO ONE that’s bigger than the game itself. Only the ref, umps & officials are that important that u can’t play without them. NOT YOU! #Truth

At final count there were 69 players that opted to skip the season by the deadline assigned by the league.

As Clay Travis points out:

69 players opted out of the NFL season, 17 of whom were starters. A lot of attention is given to the 2.7% who opted out, but how about the 97.3% who opted in?

  1. They can play or not play, but they need to understand consequences of their choice. I won’t criticize either way? I choose to work and try to comply with the safety protocols. If I don’t, no one is gonna hold my place or pay me until I decide to come back. Everyone has circumstances they have to weigh.
