David Goggins Shares Epic Memorial Day Post -- Must Watch

There aren't too many people out here built like David Goggins.

This is a badass Navy SEAL who has served this country in many ways. In honor of his friends who died in Afghanistan, Goggins became an ultramarathon runner back in the mid-2000s and raised awareness and money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

He's failed many times in his life, but nothing has ever kept him down long. If you aren't familiar with his story, I would highly suggest learning about him. His 2018 memoir, Can't Hurt Me, is absolutely fantastic.

The pain that Goggins can endure -- and has endured -- is nothing short of incredible, and he proves that human beings can push themselves well beyond what most think they're capable of.

On top of all his many other accomplishments, Goggins has also become a motivational speaker. And on Memorial Day, he shared an incredible message via his social media. Folks, trust me. You have got the check this out.

"Another great day to be alive," Goggins said. "I can experience heat. I can experience cold. I can experience love. I've experienced a lot of emotions in my life. I've also experienced a lot of hate, so I know how it feels to not feel like you're wanted, you don't fit in and that things aren't fair in this world.

"I also know about the division. Some people love America; some people hate America. I get all of it, and I don't care what you believe in. But there's one thing for sure: there are a lot of people who are the same color as you, the same religion as you and the same sexuality as you. Whatever you are, that died for this country so you can have those freedoms. Whether they wanted to die for this country or not, they did. So you can enjoy your day, enjoy your life.

"There's a lot of finger-pointing out here on why you haven't made it and why you haven't succeeded. This country is so free, check this out. Someone that looks like me, that looks like you, that acts like you, the same sexuality as you, has made it in this world -- has succeeded and become successful. So if you don't make it in this world, it's your fault. Stay hard."

I would be surprised if Goggins has ever had an excuse in his life.

When he originally tried to join the United States Air Force Pararescue -- after failing his ASVAB twice and still finding a way in -- he discovered that he had sickle cell trait. Did he stop? No.

He also struggled at a young age with a learning disability. Does he look like he struggles now? Absolutely not, because he refused to let it stop him. He became educated, and now he's thriving in many different facets of life.

Me? I've been known to come up with the lamest excuse in the book not to go to the gym or to do the dishes in the sink. The point? As rare as his mindset might be, we should all strive to be a bit more like David Goggins. No excuses.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend. And thank you to all those who made a sacrifice so that we can enjoy our lives and our freedoms.
