David Chao, MD: Nets-Bucks Odds Dramatically Change With Kyrie Irving, James Harden Out For Game 5

What was predicted on Twitter @ProFootballdoc and published at OutKick yesterday has come true.

Of the three Brooklyn Nets superstars, Kevin Durant is all alone

Over a week ago, we cast doubt on "hamstring tightness" (as the team announced) and said James Harden's strain would likely have him missing two weeks and thus the entire Bucks series.

That has come true so far, as Harden was again ruled out for Game 5 on Tuesday night and Nets Coach Steve Nash said Harden needs to string together multiple high intensity practices to return to the lineup. Harden does not appear close yet.

Analyzing in-game video, we believe that Kyrie Irving suffered a significant first-time inversion right ankle sprain that will likely keep him out for the rest of the Bucks series as well

Yesterday, even after the initial impression that both Irving and Harden would miss, you could still have gotten plus money to take the Bucks to win the series at FanDuel. That moved to -108 last night. Likely OutKick readers moved that line to -130 this morning off yesterday's article. Today's report of Kyrie out for Game 5 moved the series line to -154. Later, with Harden ruled out for Game 5 as well, the FanDuel line has moved to -184. This was a significant flip of the series price based on injury and was anticipated by those in the know.
