Video: Dave Chappelle Rips Don Lemon and Candace Owens in New Special

Dave Chappelle’s new Netflix special dropped on YouTube today, and the material includes commentary of the death of George Floyd — and the media coverage of it as well. Two of the targets in Chappelle’s special were Don Lemon of CNN and Candace Owens.

Here is Chappelle questioning why Lemon was going after celebrities for not speaking out about George Floyd:

“Does it matter what the fuck Ja Rule thinks?” Chappelle asked. “Why would anyone care what their favorite comedian thinks after they saw a police officer kneel on a man’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds?”

He also took aim at Candace Owens:

Given that comedy specials usually take months to bake while the comedians test out material and see what works and what doesn’t, it’s pretty fast for Chappelle to be putting out a special that delves into these issues.
