Dan Mullen Will Have His Shoe Game On Point This Weekend

Coming off a season-opening 35-14 win over Florida Atlantic, Dan Mullen and his Florida Gators will enter Week Two with patriotic vibes. In remembrance for those who lost their lives on 9/11 and in a show of thanks to those who continue to serve, Mullen plans to walk the sidelines in a pair of specially designed red, white and blue Jordans. Additionally, Gator players will have a special helmet design to commemorate 9/11.

Mullen posted a sneak peek of the kicks to his Twitter account and captioned the photo with the following: "Saturday's shoes. Remembering those we lost and thanking those who serve."

Just before Mullen unveiled his sneakers, Florida's football team posted their newest threads to social media. Both Mullen and the Gator team used a #NeverForget hashtag on their photos.

Instead of the traditional orange Gators decal scripted across their helmets, UF will rock white helmets with their nickname spelled out in red, white and blue. Additionally, the Gators script features a series of stars within the G.

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Florida will line up across from an in-state school for the second consecutive week. This time, the Gators hit the road, traveling to Tampa for an afternoon tilt with the University of South Florida. In their season opener, the Bulls failed to score, falling to host North Carolina State 45-0.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Gators listed as 28.5 road favorites.
