Dallas Fans Bewildered After QB Prescott Starts Following Washington Football Team On Instagram

Dak Prescott is set to make a return to the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who Sunday said the 27-year-old QB is ahead of schedule with his recovery.

The quarterback suffered a gruesome ankle injury in the fourth week of the 2020 season in a win against the New York Giants at home. He missed the final 12 games of the regular season.

He brought in a whopping $31.409 million last season playing under the franchise tag. This season, the Cowboys want to get a deal done before March 9th when a franchise tag decision would have to be made. If Dallas can't get Prescott inked long term, the tag this year would pay him around $37.7 million.

While all that needs to get worked out, Prescott has Cowboys fans biting their nails today after he started following their biggest division rival in the NFC East -- The Washington Football Team -- on Instagram.

It is unknown whether Prescott has followed the official Washington account as a joke. Maybe it was revenge after the team left the quarterback out of a newly produced 32-second hype video for the upcoming 2021 season. Whatever his reasons, it won't sit well with Cowboys fans who would like to see their franchise QB sign long term.

For now, Prescott's future remains in question.

There's always a saga in "Big D," but we will know how this one plays out by next month, when the team has to make a franchise tag decision on the quarterback.
