After Big Win Over BC, Clemson's Dabo Swinney Says Trevor Lawrence Won't Play Vs. ND

Clemson had a close call against Boston College on Saturday. Despite being more than a four-score favorite, the Tigers narrowly escaped with a 34-28 win to move to 7-0 on the season.

So, why was head coach Dabo Swinney caught dancing in the locker room?

Well, because it took 24 straight points from Clemson to get that victory over the Eagles. And despite missing star quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the team heads into Notre Dame week undefeated. We will ignore those dance moves -- at least for now.

It looks like Swinney is having a great time, but we found out following the game that Lawrence will not be able to play against the Fighting Irish next week.

Backup quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei got the start in Lawrence's absence on Saturday and was fantastic. He made an impact through the air and on the ground while posting 367 total yards (342 passing, 25 rushing) and three total scores.

It was an encouraging sign for the Tigers because we now know Clemson will once again be without Lawrence. The 10-day window wasn't the issue for the Heisman hopeful. It was the cardiac testing that follows that window that will prevent him from participating.
